Stevens Creek Urban Village

As a part of Stevens Creek Urban Village, two well known developers Prometheus Real Estate and Shorenstein Properties Group plan to redevelop 16-acre site at Saratoga Avenue and Stevens Creek Boulevard. The project could include up to 350,000 square feet of office space, about 15,000 square feet of retail and around 900 residential units, and a 1.5-acre park. The location has been home to Harry’s Hofbrau restaurant and the Garden City Casino, among other San Jose businesses. The location is less than 10 minutes (without traffic) on Stevens Creek Boulevard away from Santana Row in San Jose and Apple in nearby Cupertino.

The developers hope that the project could become a small neighborhood, but the traffic between Stevens Creek Boulevard and Moorpark ave is already an absolute disaster. It takes a lot of time to exit highway 280 to Saratoga Avenue or to get back to the highway. Considering the lack of public transportation available in area adding 900 residential unit and 350,000 square feet of office space the Stevens Creek Urban Village could become the traffic nightmare for the residents and office workers.
