California Academic Performance Index (API) Results

The annual rankings, released today by the California Department of Education, are part of the Academic Performance Index. California API scores are based on standardized test results, and, depending on the API, schools are ranked on a 1-10 scale. New state rankings show little change from previous years in Santa Clara County schools. How a school is faring in comparison to all schools in the state is of vital importance not only for parents, but for real estate market.
The 2009 API Test results shows several Santa Clara County schools in the state's top-scoring 20 elementary schools: Murdock-Portal Elementary and Faria Elementary schools in Cupertino School district and Millikin Elementary school in Santa Clara Unified were ranked 1, 2 and 6 respectively.
